Rogue One showings start in U.S. theaters tonight. But what if you’re not ready? What if you haven’t bought tickets yet?
To get you started, we’ve made a list of resources where you can find showtimes, ticket availability and prices in your area.
1. Google
Google is the easiest place to start. Simply type “rogue one showtimes” in the search bar and Google will instantly conjure up the local Rogue One showings. It’s a quick way to find out what times there are and which theaters the times are at.
2. Fandango
Fandango is the website to visit when you want to preorder movie tickets online. First, enter fandango.com in your search bar (or follow the link from here). Next, type in your city and zipcode in the search box on the Fandango homepage. The site will load a list of theaters and the movies those theaters are showing, and on what dates and times. Choose the date and time you want (if they are available) and then Fandango will direct you through the purchase process.
All you have to decide now is which theater you want to see Rogue One at. I usually decide based on which theater’s times work best for my schedule. In some cases, though, I have to resort to a time slot which hasn’t sold out yet.
There are other factors besides time and sold out showings to consider, as well. On certain dates, Regal Cinemas and AMC Theatres will offer free swag for fans who see Rogue One in IMAX. Check the names of the theater chains are nearest to you and then google them to find out if they are offering any special promotions.
What if you want to see Rogue One on opening night but all the showtimes are sold out? Check to see if there are any showtimes for the following morning. You might even consider spreading the word on social media that you are looking for premiere tickets. A friend or family member might be willing to sell or give you a ticket if they know how much it means to you.
Whenever and wherever you see Rogue One, remember to enjoy yourself. Savor the beautiful experience of watching a new Star Wars movie in theaters.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story premieres in theaters across the U.S. tonight and tomorrow, December 16th.
