4. Bodhi Rook

Bodhi Rook is the definition of “regular guy.” He joined the Empire in the normal, heartbreaking way of conscription. When he met Galen Erso on Eadu, however, he realized he didn’t have to resign himself to being the Empire’s lackey.
Bodhi is important for a variety of reasons. The McGuffin of Rogue One, he brings Galen’s message about the Death Star’s weakness to Saw Gerrera. He also sends a message to the Rebel Alliance during the Battle of Scarif to let them know to open the shield gate for the Death Star plans.
But Bodhi is special because he is just like the rest of us. He’s not particularly skilled in anything except piloting and communications. He is scared and nervous throughout much of the film, yet he pushes on to do what he knows is right. The hard truth is we all like to think we would be as brave and unflinching as Jyn Erso or Cassian Andor. But when it comes down to it, Bodhi is more like us. And he’s still a hero. That’s why he’s number 4 on this list.
