27. Shaak Ti

Shaak Ti was also part of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi rescue party on Geonosis. Her exotic alien appearance renders her immediately memorable. Later, The Clone Wars made her more than just visually stunning: it gave her a character.

Shaak spent most of her time in the Clone Wars on Kamino training clone cadets. She was there when a clone named Tup turned rogue and killed another Jedi on Kamino, Master Tiplar. Shaak was on the brink of discovering the bioengineered implant that would eventually force the clones to obey Order 66. But she was thwarted by the Kaminoans, who overruled her attempts to examine implant.

Shaak, too, met an unhappy end. She was at the Jedi Temple when Anakin Skywalker assaulted it on Palpatine’s orders. She was stabbed through by Anakin’s Jedi blade.

In Legends, Shaak’s fate was slightly more bizarre but no less final. Instead of staying at the Temple on Coruscant to be murdered, the Jedi Master fled into hiding on Felucia. Sometime during the Dark Times, Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, Galen Marek, arrived on Felucia and killed Shaak in a duel.

However she died, what is important is how Shaak lived. She was a powerful and, let’s be honest, beautiful Jedi. She more than earns her place at number 27 on our list.
