7. Nomi Sunrider

Nomi Sunrider is a Legends character created for the Tales of the Jedi series by Dark Horse Comics. Her story takes place millennia before the Skywalkers when the Jedi were less strict on attachment. Nomi married a Jedi in training named Andur and bore a child. She was Force-sensitive but did not desire to become a Jedi like her husband. But when Andur died in battle, Nomi decided to follow her husband’s original path. She followed her destiny in the Force.

And what a grand destiny she had. She became a formidable Force user. During a war between the Jedi and the Sith lord Exar Kun, she used the strength of her emotions to sever Exar Kun’s apprentice’s connection with the Force. The defeat of the apprentice brought the war to an end. Later, she became a Grand Master of the Jedi Order.
