Jaina Solo is such a popular Legends character that many thought Rey would represent her in the new canon. But Jaina remains her own person, and we couldn’t be happier. She’s too incredible to be touched.
Jaina is Han and Leia’s daughter in the Legends universe. She becomes a powerful Jedi and a fighter. Her fighting on the front lines of the Yuuzhan Vong war earned her the moniker Sword of the Jedi. She needed her lightsaber skills later on when she dueled her twin brother, Jacen, who fell to the dark side. Like a true Jedi who puts aside attachment for the greater good, she killed the Sith lord her brother had become.
The Sword of the Jedi is an icon not just in Star Wars but in science fiction. Pilot, Jedi, wife, and warrior, Jaina represents women’s unique strength. There are not many Legends characters in this list. But Jaina is, for many, the greatest of them all. She is a Legend.
