6. Mace Windu
During Episodes I-III, it is very clear that Mace Windu is a Jedi that was held in very high regard. While the council was active before the days of the Empire, Windu served as second in command to Master Yoda during the majority of the council’s span, serving as the council’s leader for a small period of time as well.
Always remaining loyal to the Jedi Order, its teachings and the light side of the force. He was very outspoken against the corruption happening in the Republic and contributed to his dislike for the government and its politics. Eventually, the corruption and influence of a Dark Lord led to the fall of the Republic. It was Mace Windu that first became aware of the increasing presence of the Dark Side in the galaxy.
Could Mace Windu have survived his fall from Palpatine’s office window? What was he like before he became such a powerful Jedi? This would make a great film.
