4. Darth Maul

I don’t think I will ever understand why Darth Maul was killed off before Count Dooku. Darth Maul has some of the coolest features of any character in Star Wars. His red and black skull with small horns coming from it is how a villain is supposed to look.

He barely talks also, which is also a good trait for bad guys, across the board. He has a sweet lightsaber, and the first of the two battles he is in with Qui-Gon Jinn is way too short in my opinion. The last lightsaber battle he has before his demise is with both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn. That battle makes me appreciate both him and Qui-Gon. It makes me wish they had larger roles.

Which is why a Darth Maul standalone has to happen right? I mean he is a fan favorite! For him to garnish the love and following that he has, after only being in Phantom Menace, speaks volumes! Of course, we now know, Maul wasn’t actually killed in The Phantom Menace, but rather survived the fall and returned in The Clone Wars and later in Star Wars Rebels.
