The Last Jedi Rumors: Snoke’s new clothes, Kylo Ren’s new look, and more

With just a few days until the first ever trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi at Star Wars Celebration Orlando, we’ve seen some rumors from a credible source regarding Supreme Leader Snoke and Kylo Ren.

According to the usually correct in all things Star Wars leaks, Making Star Wars, Supreme Leader Snoke’s wardrobe in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, has been described in detail. According to the site, Snoke’s vestments won’t simply be the black robe that so many Star Wars fans relate to Emperor Palpatine. Instead, it will be a rich gold and red.

"Snoke wears a gold silky robe with a very ornate pattern on it… What is also interesting is his slippers are like “jester shoes” or “genie slippers.”  He has a very “blood and gold” vibe to him…. Another interesting detail is that Snoke wears a fancy ring on his left hand."

MSW speculates that the ring could be a Kyber crystal (the crystal that gives a lightsaber its laser blade). However, what interests me about this new description of Snoke, is that he seems to be a being of rich and opulent tastes, used to the finer things in life, and he does not behave like we would normally see a Sith Lord behave (Palpatine being the exception).

Moving on MSW notes that Kylo Ren will not wear his helmet as much in The Last Jedi, as he did in The Force Awakens. He will also have a new cape (like Darth Vader), and a personal TIE fighter (again, much like Vader).

"His new TIE has pointy wings like the TIE Interceptor but with a pill shaped body. The cockpit is sort of like an old B-29 bomber compared to the classic TIE cockpit window. The thrusters in the back remind me of the Falcon as they glow blue and sort of evoke the Falcon."

And finally, the site does say that while the First Order will not have a Starkiller base in The Last Jedi, it will have a Mega Destroyer. And, that Captain Phasma and her “Executioner Stormtroopers” will be hunting down the resistance.
