John Boyega (Finn) got dumped when his date learned he was in Star Wars

Of all the things to get dumped for, being in one of the highest grossing films of all time shouldn’t be one of them…

Actor John Boyega (Finn) recently revealed that he was dumped by a girl when she found out he was in Star Wars. That’s right, the dashing young actor who burst onto the scene with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as the former First Order Stormtrooper turned Resistance fighter, Finn, told the story on The Graham Norton Show, and it’s kind of funny. Check it out:

“I blocked her on my phone.”

Listening to the advice of his friend, Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit), Boyega tried to find “the love of his life” before he made it big with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Unfortunately for him, the moment he chose to reveal his chosen occupation to his date, was in the middle of Times Square by pointing up at a huge movie poster of his character Finn holding the Skywalker lightsaber. We can see where that might be sort of intimidating.

Still, though, you have to wonder if this young woman that dumped Boyega before he became such a massive success, is now kicking herself.

I mean, what’s not to like about Finn? He’s a pretty cool guy, he’s got great fashion sense, he doesn’t like the First Order, his best friend is Poe Dameron, and he hates this guy:

Maybe the girl was an agent of Supreme Leader Snoke and the First Order. Or, maybe she was Snoke! Gasp! Now there’s a theory to run with. Boyega returns to the big screen this December, when Star Wars: The Last Jedi debuts worldwide on December 15.
