Patty Jenkins is now the darling of Hollywood thanks to the critical and box office success that is Wonder Woman, which Jenkins directed. What better time for Lucasfilm to bring in a female director than now? Jenkins absolutely proved she has great cinematic vision and execution with Wonder Woman. She could either finish or completely re-shoot the Han Solo movie, and I have full confidence the results would be fantastic. Once again, she knows how to balance comedy with drama. Furthermore, she delivers both major and minor characters who are deep and fully fleshed out. Her skills are needed in the Han Solo movie, the cast of which is an ensemble just like the cast of Wonder Woman.

It all adds up: Patty Jenkins would be perfect to direct the Han Solo movie. Now, if we can just get Lucasfilm to agree.
