Star Wars: The Clone Wars took a galaxy far, far away to places that Star Wars fans could only dream of…
George Lucas gave Star Wars the ultimate walk-off shot before selling Lucasfilm to Disney with the creation of The Clone Wars animated series.
This epic journey began with the Battle of Christophsis, where Anakin’s life was changed forever by taking on an unexpected padawan.
Alongside our favorite characters, we traveled to a vast number of worlds that Lucas never had the chance to explore in the films.
Throughout the series, we got the chance to see the peacekeepers of the galaxy in their prime. Before the great Jedi purge of Order 66. Before the dark times. Before the Empire. Thanks to the depth of their character development in the Clone Wars, we feel each of their deaths more deeply and painfully in Revenge of the Sith.
At the time of the Clone Wars, the Republic was on the verge of collapse, with the dark shadow of the Empire waiting to take its place. We watched helplessly as Dark Side agents slowly and subtly destroyed the democracy of the galaxy from within.
The Sith Lord Darth Sidious spread terror across the galaxy with the help of his apprentice, Darth Tyrannus, a cyborg Jedi hunter named General Grievous, an aspiring Sith and deadly Dark Side assassin, Asajj Ventress, and the many naive Independent Systems who did the Dark Lord’s bidding. In the films, we didn’t get to see much of these characters, but in the Clone Wars, we see them in spades.
With the acquisition of Lucasfilm by Disney, the Clone Wars ended abruptly and we all felt the sting of that loss.
The Clone Wars lives on, however, through stories told through a variety of mediums, with no signs of slowing down.
Join us and together we will take a trip down memory lane, as we revisit some of the greatest moments in the Clone Wars era of Star Wars. Are you ready to feel them feels all over again?
