38. Quinlan Vos and Obi-Wan hunt for Ziro the Hutt

Episode:  Season 3 Episode 9: The Hunt for Ziro

"Episode Summary: Cad Bane has broken Ziro the Hutt out of prison. The Hutt Council demands that Ziro tell them where he’s hidden vital — and incriminating — information: a journal detailing the criminal activities of the Hutt families. Ziro makes another daring escape with the help of his estranged (and strange) lover, Sy Snootles. Bane is back on the Hutt’s trail — but he’s not the only one. The Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Quinlan Vos need to find him too. A chase through the swamps of Nal Hutta leads the pursuers to Ziro’s enormous mother, Mama the Hutt, who points them to Teth. It is here, in the secret grave of Ziro’s father, that the fugitive Hutt has hidden the diary. When he retrieves it, Snooty reveals her true spots. She’s a deadly woman scorned and a bounty hunter for hire!"

The Moment: Obi-Wan and the spymaster Jedi( Master) Quinlan Vos team up and they face-off against the likes of the shifty bounty hunter Bane and interact with the slimy, shady notorious Hutt clan.

Why It’s Memorable: Obi-Wan. I just love his character development in the Clone Wars. From his brotherhood relationship being flushed out with Anakin to the display his mad skills as a warrior, dealing with loss at the hands of Maul ( much more on that later), and now teaming up with a wild-card Jedi, he shows just how versatile and rich his character truly is.

Speaking of that wild-card, Quinlan Vos, we don’t get much of him in canon, but when we do, its some of the best story-line plots that the Clone Wars provides. In the actual Star Wars timeline, we see Quinlan briefly undercover on Tatooine, in this episode The Hunt For Ziro, and then in the Dark Disciple Clone Wars arc (more to come, stay tuned).

We do know that he was once the Master of Aayla Secura, but this is really when we see him in action. This moment makes you want more of Vos and we hope to see more Clone Wars ( and maybe post Order 66?) of this troubled Jedi Master.
