29. The bad-batch
Episode: The Bad Batch– Star Wars: The Clone Wars story reel
"Episode Summary:After repeated setbacks on the planet Anaxes, an elite clone squad is deployed to investigate the Separatist tactical advantage. Led by Commander Cody and Captain Rex, this special unit, called the Bad Batch, infiltrates Admiral Trench’s cyber center to steal a strategic algorithm capable of predicting the Republic’s every move. What our heroes found was a live signal from the ARC trooper known as Echo, a clone long believed to be dead"
The Moment: Fives, a clone who was once lost and thought dead, is alive and not well, not at all. The Separatist Admiral Trench has been using Fives as a way to generate clone algorithms to defeat the Republic in many battles. The long-lost clone is rescued by his comrades but is very badly injured and despaired.
Why It’s Memorable: It was so good to see the lost clone, Fives alive, but man was he in terrible shape. The state of Fives displays how ruthless the Separatists are, which is a reflection of their leadership of two Sith Lords, Sidious and Dooku.
Seeing Admiral Trench still alive displays his sneaky and hard-to-kill nature and reminds me of why I hate the guy so much( take that as a compliment, Admiral!).
I also enjoyed the love and sacrifice the clone brothers show for one another, so when they eventually become an agent of evil during the dreaded Order 66, fine moments like these make that event that more tragic.
"THE BATTLES ARE OVER, BUT THE HEROES LIVE ON"
