16. Ahsoka is enslaved on Trandosha

Episode:  Season 3 Episodes 22-23: Padawan Lost & Wookiee Hunt

"Episode Summary: Ahsoka and a group of abducted younglings find themselves trapped on a Trandoshan moon, prey in an elaborate and cruel hunt. The forlorn younglings have lost all hope, despite the best efforts of their spirited leader, Kalifa. Ahsoka rallies them to defend themselves and strike back against the Trandoshan, an effort with deadly consequences As Ahsoka and her youngling allies struggle to evade the Trandoshan hunters, their efforts receive an unexpected boost when a new captive — Chewbacca the Wookiee — arrives. Chewie scrounges parts from a wrecked Trandoshan slave ship, assembling a communicator to send out a distress signal. Help arrives in the towering, shaggy form of Wookiee warriors led by General Tarfful. Freed from captivity, Ahsoka returns to the Jedi Temple and is reunited with Anakin Skywalker."

The Moment: Ahoska and Chewbacca show their bravery against their slave Trandoshan foes. Ahsoka discovers a former Jedi Padawan, inspiring bravery in the Force user.

Why It’s Memorable: Chewie! Our beloved Wookiee makes his only appearance in Clone Wars, but man is it a good one. We see the brute strength, braveness, and tenacity that gave him the reputation of pulling people’s arms out of their sockets.

Showing the struggle between the Wookiees and their neighbors of Trandosha is one that I’ve been waiting to see on screen for a long time. I knew that Bossk and his reptilian species were tough, but man is they nasty.

The partnership grown from this story arc sets up possible future material with the Wookiee and Togruta duo! Can you say an Ahoska part II novel, please?

Ahsoka shows her leadership skills in inspiring a group of younglings, a foreshadowing of her future role within the Rebel Alliance.
