14. The lair of General Grievous is introduced

Episode:  Season 1 Episode 10: Lair of Grievous

"Episode Summary: Jedi Master Kit Fisto and his former Padawan, the Mon Calamari Jedi Nahdar Vebb, track escaped prisoner Nute Gunray to a remote world. Following Nute into a mysterious den filled with strange creatures, weapons, and war-time artifacts, the Jedi discover it is the trap-laden lair of General Grievous! Learning that Count Dooku has led the Jedi there in order to punish Grievous for his recent failures, the General is determined to prove his abilities and destroy the Jedi. Kit and Nahdar, along with a contingent of clones, must now fight their way past Grievous and his caretaker droid A-4D to avoid being caught in General’s evil clutches forever."

The Moment: Kit Fisto teaches his former Padawan the lesson of patience, but he fails when his former Padawan gives into anger. Fisto is a match for Grievous and escapes the dreaded moon that houses the cyborg.

Why It’s Memorable: A very dark and rad moment is when we venture into the secret layer of Grievous. I didn’t realize the cyborg had so many replacement pieces for his mechanical parts, but it does make sense. I wish we would also go deeper into the lightsabers, and more specifically, of the Jedi he killed to obtain them.

Kit Fisto is what I call the silent assassin.  A man of few words, but a smile made of gold, this calm Jedi Master put the monster Grievous in his place, but at great cost.

His former Padawan, Nahdar, gives into anger, and it costs him his life, but more importantly prior to that, his Jedi principles. Fisto is the ultimate Jedi and one who deserves more screen-time and maybe even a future featured comic.
