Guy Richie.

Richie has directed a number of great movies: Snatch featuring Brad Pitt and Jason Statham, Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downy Jr,  and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, featuring Jason Flemyng and Dexter Fletcher. Richie clearly shows that he can work with big name actors and still produce a fantastic movie. Richie has won 8 awards, 5 coming from Lock, Stock and Two smoking Barrels.

Joss Whedon.

Whedon is the great mind behind both The Avengers and The Avengers Age of Ultron. He has written more than he has directed, but that doesn’t mean he can’t conduct himself while sitting in the director’s chair.

As the director of the leading super hero movie, Whedon has captured the essence of good vs evil, which would be a perfect fit for Star Wars. Joss has been nominated for 1 Oscar, has won 24 different awards, and 42 other nominations.
