Mark Hamill teases his Twitter followers, then lets a major detail for the upcoming The Last Jedi Trailer slip, possibly…
The ultimate trickster and Twitter troll himself, Mark Hamill, is active more now than ever, teasing his followers and just having a good ole time. We know that Hamill, more than anyone, knows how to keep a secret, where he was just one of a handful of people who knew of Darth Vader’s true identity before the release of The Empire Strikes Back.
On Twitter, a Star Wars fan tweeted at Hamill, stating that “today is a great day to release the new trailer,” which prompted a response from the Jedi Master, who tweeted back. The tweet has now been removed by Hamill, but here’s what he had to say in response:
"Watch Monday Night Football on October 9th- for no reason in particular."
Realizing what he had revealed, Hamill then responded with this:
Hamill then backtracked with this statement:
Hamill might have accidentally spilled the beans, then was told by the Lucasfilm heads to delete the evidence. He is freaking Luke Skywalker, so I bet he didn’t even receive a slap on the wrist for that, which he has earned the right to have the freedom to reveal such things.

Who knows, this could have been done intentionally, with Disney/Lucasfilm attempting to generate even more buzz for the upcoming trailer for The Last Jedi, but we will never know for sure.
The Last Jedi will hit theaters December 15, with the next trailer anticipated to drop anytime, possibly as soon as October 9th, thanks to the potential reveal by Mark Hamill himself.
