10. Luke’s Jedi Academy

The 30-year gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens for Luke Skywalker is shrouded in almost complete mystery. The Shattered Empire comic and a few references in Leia canon novels are all we have. We recently learned in the trailer for The Last Jedi that Luke barely survived the onslaught himself. What leads up to those events?

We do know Luke withdrew from Galactic affairs and spent his whole life rebuilding the Jedi Order. Then his nephew, the new chosen one destroys it all, sending Luke into a state of shock and then exile.

We could go the animated route or we have the perfect look alike in Sebastian Stan, who would fill the role perfectly. The best aspect would be Luke training a young Ben Solo, where we would learn clues on why the young Solo was so obsessed with Vader and what led to his and the Jedi’s demise, spiraling into a very dark path. Also learning about some of the other Jedi hopefuls, whose life ended prematurely — sound familiar — would be so enriching, yet tragic.

How fun would it be to have a complimentary video game of Luke Skywalker tracking down Jedi artifacts, visiting worlds rich in both the Dark Side and the Light, as well as playing peacekeeper in the process? Yes, please!
