25 Star Wars TV shows we really want to see

21. Padme’s transition from Queen to Senator

This series would be like the Obi-Wan and Anakin series in that it would cover the years between the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. However, this series would focus on Padme and her years as both Queen and Senator. We see in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith Padme Amidala is a very influential senator. We know also that she served queen for two terms and she was so beloved by the people that they tried to change the constitution so that she could serve again.

She is so young in that first film (only 14) and so there is a lot of growing up that must have happened in those eight lost years between the first and second film. I would love to have a show that focuses on her development as a queen. I would love to see what she does during her reign that so endears her to her people. How does she make Naboo a better place? How does she grow as an individual?

I would also love to see how she transitioned from Queen to Senator. She is obviously well respected and well liked by the Senate. We get to see a lot of her senatorial experience in the animated series the Clone Wars, but I would love to see how she becomes so well respected. Ideally, this would a live action series. It would be great if they could bring Natalie Portman back to the part.
