An all-new The Last Jedi TV spot aired during the Disney Holiday Celebration on ABC…
Since the tragic and surprising death of Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fans thought they’d never hear someone say “punch it” in a Star Wars film again. Enter Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, who, much like Han Solo told Chewbacca, tells BB-8 to “punch it” during an all-new TV spot for the film. Check it out (courtesy of Dang Dog Blog):
While we’ve seen many these scenes before, in previous trailers and TV spots, Poe telling BB-8 to punch it was certainly new. There’s also the scene of Rey appearing to slice through that rock formation she’s been practicing on.
This isn’t the only new footage that has been released. Another all-new TV spot for The Last Jedi shows a Porg actually flying! Here’s that.
Okay, so maybe “flying” isn’t technically the term we should use in this instance, but the little guy does hilariously get plastered to the cockpit window of the Millennium Falcon, and it somehow manages to remain immensely cute. Ah, we sure do love us some Porgs.
Finally, Star Wars has released an all-new BTS spot showing various actors training for their roles in The Last Jedi. Punch it (see what I did there?)
So, right off the bat, we have Daisy Ridley honing her lightsaber skills, and we’ve got writer/director Rian Johnson confirming this is the moment Rey decides to put down the staff and pick up the lightsaber.
We also have Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie (Phasma) and John Boyega (Finn) talking about and training for their duel. We’ve got our first shots of Kelly Marie Tran (Rose) working on her fighting skills, and Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) working hard on his lightsaber training. Great stuff, all of
