We’ve got a couple of new videos featuring characters from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, as well as news of Carrie Fisher’s dog being in the film, so let’s get right into it…
Here’s a bit of heartwarming news as the late Carrie Fisher’s dog Gary will have a small cameo in The Last Jedi, as confirmed by Rian Johnson on Twitter. I love that Johnson allowed Gary to be in the film. This little move most certainly cemented his place as Star Wars fans favorite director in the entire franchise.
Next up, Daisy Ridley who portrays Rey in Star Wars: The Last Jedi recently walked fans through what it was like being on set of the film, in an all-new TV spot. The actress shows us some new footage and dialogue from the film. Check it out:
Here’s why Ridley thinks we need to be excited for The Last Jedi (as if I needed a reason):
- We finally learn the truth about the most famous Jedi in the galaxy — Luke Skywalker.
- There are wild new ships we’ve never seen before.
- Lots of new creatures. “Have you ever heard of a Porg?” Why yes, Daisy, I have, and I absolutely love them.
- Rey starts her own journey with the Force.
Exciting stuff, that. Especially the line about Leia send Rey to find Luke. Finally, we have a video of BB-8 narrowly the grumpy BB-9E’s clutches. The commercial is from Verizon, check it out:

If I don’t get an all-out race to the death between these two BB units in The Last Jedi, I will be extremely disappointed.
