Solo: A Star Wars Story’s Alden Ehrenreich turns on charm, showing he’s perfect for Han Solo

Alden Ehrenreich, Han Solo in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, turns on the charm a bit, showing why he’s perfect for the role.

Alden Ehrenreich has massive shoes to fill, taking on the role of Han Solo in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story film — the first time we’ll not see Harrison Ford as the scruffy looking scoundrel. Should we all be worried?

Not in the slightest, with Ehrenreich the perfect man for the job. If you don’t believe, make that discernment yourself, with the up and coming star sitting down with Kinowetter, discussing anything from Han Solo himself, to the scene that George Lucas filmed for Solo: A Star Wars Story and his lasting impact, emulating Harrison Ford, and much more.

Part 2

Ehrenreich calls Solo: A Star Wars story a “great adventure,” focusing on the drastic character development of the iconic Han Solo — where the young Solo “learns lessons” and even struggles to find his place within the galaxy.

The first two seconds of this interview cement the fact that I’m sold on Ehrenreich as Han Solo. His charm, calm and cool demeanor and gratitude for playing the role is apparent in this five-minute conversation. The young actor playing Han Solo MUST be very likable, which Ehrenreich is in spades.

In preparation for the film, Ehrenreich took his role very seriously, watching the original Star Wars movies in preparation for the iconic role.

Harrison Ford and Alden Ehrenreich went out to lunch, discussing the character — which put the younger Han Solo at ease. Ford’s blessing of Ehrenreich is an excellent indication of things moving forward and the fact that he knew that before filming the movie undoubtedly helped his performance. No pressure or anything!

A few months back, the internet began buzzing, when the revelation that George Lucas visited the set of Solo on day one of Ron Howard‘s involvement — “directing” a scene for the film.

Ehrenreich calmed down those rumors, revealing what indeed happened when “the Maker” visited the set of Solo.

"“He didn’t exactly direct a scene. He gave a note for one thing… It was nice to have his blessing on the project… The debt of gratitude we all owe him. This whole universe we’re playing make believe in for 40 years is something out of his imagination and that’s quite an unbelievable fate.”"

Still in disbelief, Ehrenreich is evidently grateful for this opportunity of playing Han Solo. Even though I was skeptical at first, not only of him but the idea of the film in general; I’ve spun a 180 and cannot wait for the movie to arrive!
