The Maker himself George Lucas played a vital role in saving Solo: A Star Wars Story from a terrible disaster, after the Lord and Miller fallout.

The Maker and creator himself, George Lucas rode into the sunset with his ultimate walk-off shot in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, after selling his beloved franchise to Disney for a cool $4 billion — which he gave most of it away to charity.

Even in retirement, the creator of the greatest franchise in the galaxy is undoubtedly still involved, even if it’s in an incognito, undercover role.

Rumors surfaced at the beginning of the year that George Lucas was scouting out film locations for the (still) unconfirmed Obi-Wan Kenobi standalone movie – just announced it already Lucasfilm!

More from Dork Side of the Force

Entertainment Weekly revealed a few moons back that George Lucas helped direct a scene for Solo: A Star Wars Story, yet leaving which particular scene to be a mystery– until now.

Variety.com reveals the details of George Lucas on the set of Solo: A Star Wars Story, where Ron Howard admits that George Lucas became Han Solo, just in the nick of time.

Ron Howard’s first day on set was chaotic one and undoubtedly one full of nerves, even for the veteran Academy Award-winning director.

However, much like Han Solo does in returning to the Rebel cause in time to save the Rebellion from the dreaded Death Star, George Lucas provided the same heroism for his lifelong friend and his new adventure Solo: A Star Wars Story — admits Howard.

Yahoo! You’re all clear kid!

Even though the cast of Solo: A Star Wars Story downplays it, the former directors Lord and Miller left the project a complete and total disaster. It appears Ron Howard saved the day in rescuing the film for destruction, with a little help from his friend.

The particular scene George Lucas stepped in was during a romantically charged scene between Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo) and Emilia Clarke (Qi’ra).

"“He said, ‘You know, Han wouldn’t bother to hang it up. And then he sort of did it. George became Han Solo for a second. The body language was there and the attitude. Not only was it a nice accent on the scene, but it was also a reminder that George created this character and really understood him. He was so reluctant [to offer his opinion], and yet the choice was so right that it was fun to use it.”"

Just the presence of the Maker and his soothing touch certainly calmed the nerves of Howard and the rest of the cast. The man who created the beloved smuggler, aided in preserving the integrity of him.

The circle is now complete, indeed, Mr. Lucas!
