Though we’ve said goodbye to our new favorite rebels, there’s still room for celebration. Star Wars Rebels has been nominated for three awards in children’s programming, music composition, and sound editing.
Ezra, Kanan, and the rest of the Star Wars Rebels family shared the small screen for the final time earlier this year. But fans – and critics – aren’t finished talking about Lucasfilm’s hit animated series just yet.
The Television Academy announced its 2018 Emmy Award nominations Thursday, and Star Wars Rebels fans were delighted to see the show appear in three separate categories against big-time hits such as Star Trek: Discovery and Westworld.
The show was nominated for awards in Outstanding Children’s Programming, Outstanding Music Composition for a Series, and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation.

If you’ve paid attention to reviews of the show in the past few years, you’re probably not surprised. It currently has a 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and a core of 8/10 on IMDb.
This isn’t the first time the cast and crew have received major recognition for their work on the show.
