Disney has been outlining details about their new streaming service, which has made it clear that Solo: A Star Wars Story will be coming to Netflix.
The Disney streaming service, or Disneyflix, isn’t expected until next year but it has already started to take form. Disney has been outlining details about what will become available on the network and during this time it made it very clear that Solo: A Star Wars Story will be coming to Netflix.
Disney made it known that they plan to allow their current deal with Netflix, which sees Walt Disney Studios movies released in theatres make their way onto Netflix, expire.
This will not come into effect until next year starting with Captain Marvel. Now while this isn’t great news for Captain Marvel fans. It is great news for all Star Wars fans who are hoping to stream Solo: A Star Wars Story on Netflix.

Solo: A Star Wars Story falls into the current contract category meaning it will make its way onto Netflix rather than the Disney streaming service.
There is bad news, however; Solo: A Star Wars Story will be the last one to do this. All other Star Wars movies planned a.k.a Star Wars: Episode IX, and all others after that, are going to come under the new plan meaning they will head over to the Disney streaming platform.
Therefore you are going to need to fork out for two streaming services if you wish to continue watching Netflix and stream Star Wars. How much that will set you back is unclear as not all the details, including cost, have been released about the up and coming Disney platform.
