15. Darth Maul

Darth Maul created his own criminal empire known as the Shadow Collective. He isn’t on the side of the Republic or the Separatists and wants to take them both down. The Shadow Collective is made up of the Black Sun, the Pyke Syndicate and the Death Watch. His main goal, though, is to get rid of Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine).

Darth Maul even had a brief cameo in Solo that piqued interest among fans. There are some gaps in Maul’s history, and Solo started to fill them in. People are eager to know what his full role is and how he knew Dryden Vos and Q’ira.

Maul also makes a big splash in Star Wars Rebels when he goes head-to-head with Obi-Wan Kenobi after using Ezra Bridger as bait. He unsuccessfully tries to get Ezra to join the Dark Side, as well. Maul was thought dead prior to this and his hatred for Kenobi is what kept him going. The two have a lengthy history of battling one another and Maul even tried to assassinate Padmé.

He’s not the biggest bad guy in Star Wars, but he’s a formidable foe due to his relentlessness. While he harbors a huge grudge towards Kenobi, he affects other lives along the way. Hopefully we’ll get to piece together more of Darth Maul’s story after that tidbit in Solo.
