The 25 most influential Star Wars characters
11. Lando Calrissian
Lando is one of the flashiest characters in the Star Wars universe. Like Han, he knows exactly when to turn on the charm, but does so with infinitely more style. His cape obsession might be a little out of hand, but everyone has their vices. But despite his flair for the expensive and occupation as a smuggler, Lando has a good heart and knows when his friends need him.
As we saw in Solo: A Star Wars Story, Han wins the Millennium Falcom from Lando. It was pretty tempting to put the ship down as a character just because of how important it has been over the years. However, it’ll have to suffice that Han, Lando, Chewie and Rey are all on this list; together, they can represent the old piece of junk. The Falcon was once in excellent shape, and whenever Lando saw it after losing it to Han, you could tell it pained him to see what had become of it.
Lando also had enough respect for the Rebellion to help out when needed, and Leia and crew wore him down enough over time to make him a bigger part of the revolution; if you’re fighting a war, it certainly helps to have one of the top smugglers in the galaxy on your side. He helps them out so much that he winds up leading the attack on the second Death Star. Sure, he betrayed Han a time or two, but in the end, it all worked out.
