We are into the final two characters that deserve their own stand alone film now. I am sure you were all expecting the famous Obi-Wan Kenobi to pop up at some point on this list. So here he is.

Introduced to us at the very beginning of Star Wars, Obi-Wan has been one of the most featured characters in the franchise. He was in every film of the original trilogy and was in all the prequels. Obi-Wan was a major part of The Cone Wars animated series, he popped up in Rebels and even his voice featured in The Force Awakens.

I would need to double-check, but I am pretty certain only R2-D2 and C-3PO who have been featured in more Star Wars films.

However despite all that, we have still not had a stand alone Obi-Wan Kenobi film, despite fans asking for one. Before Rogue One or Solo was even thought of, fans have asked for an Obi-Wan Kenobi film, but have still not got one.

Why?

The only thing I can really think of is whoever the big wigs are who make the decisions are a bit unsure of how to do it. Do they make a film about Obi-Wan as a padawan with Qui-Gon Jin? Or do they follow the story of Obi-Wan training Anakin? Or how about the time when Obi-Wan was a General in the Clone Wars? What about while he was on Tatooine watching over Luke?

Obi-Wan has a lot of possibilities for a stand alone. That’s only a small amount I have named above. This is why I think they haven’t made one yet. They are just not sure what story to focus on.

However, if we are all being friendly and honest, I would suggest they do not make a stand alone film of him watching over Luke on Tatooine. Watching a film about a man who lives by himself and spends most of his free time watching over a child as he grows up might come off a bit creepy. Just saying.
