1. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
If you’ve exhausted all the other series and nothing seems to quite compare to Star Wars for you, do yourself a favor and revisit this truly excellent animated series.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars the series is not to be confused with the film of the same name (although that’s actually currently available on Netflix, too). The events of the show take place in the few awkward years between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. It’s a near-perfect viewing experience for the devoted fan as it features plenty of familiar characters and provides another immersive experience for those who want to get as much of the Star Wars galaxy as they possibly can.
Aside from being a great way to extend your experience, the show is just generally good on its own merits. In fact, it’s whopping 6 season run sits at an amazing 95% approval rating on the popular review site Rotten Tomatoes. The reviews actually got better as the seasons progressed, which means there’s a lot to look forward to if you’re just starting The Clone Wars now.
I also love this series because it’s a great way to get the whole family into your Star Wars addiction. I don’t think that the SW movies are ever overtly scary, but they can still prove frightening for some sensitive younger viewers. The animated nature of The Clone Wars easily tackles this problem, serving as a great way to introduce the franchise to the kids.
