Some have been confirmed, some denied, but a large amount of Star Wars: Episode IX rumors are still up in the air, waiting to be addressed.

Being realistic, we may never find out about if these Star Wars: Episode IX rumors are true or false until the movie actually appears in theaters. No doubt J.J. Abrams will be wanting to keep some suspense and surprises up until then. Likelihood is he will be whispering in people’s ear about what they can and can’t confirm when it comes to rumors.

I can just picture it now:

Production Staff Member: “Hey, J.J.! someone from Dork Side of the Force has figured out that X is playing Y. Should we confirm it or just leave them to wonder until the movie is released?”

Abrams: “Hang on, let me think. Nope. Better not. Confirming it could lead them to figuring out our secret plan involving Jar Jar Binks.”

You can see where I am going with this one, some rumors get confirmed because they don’t really matter in the long run.

Billy Dee Williams possibly coming back as Lando; that rumor was confirmed, and it didn’t spoil anything really.

Whereas some rumors are debunked because it can actually cause more suspense.

For example, everyone was certain Richard E. Grant would play Grand Admiral Thrawn. This has since been denied, he is to play someone else entirely. Who that is, remains unknown, creating even more discussion and intrigue around his role.

Yet some rumors are best left completely unaddressed, and that is what we are going to look at now. The Star Wars: Episode IX rumors that are so far, still in the realm of, maybe it will turn out to be true, maybe not.
