Fear not, my friends! The Force is still strong in the Star Wars world! Despite the betrayal and the lull, The Force Awakens literally reinvigorated the franchise. And the momentum continues.

That’s where Star Wars Resistance comes into the picture.

All Star Wars fans should be hyped for Star Wars Resistance!

Announced in April, Star Wars Resistance is Disney’s show based on Resistance pilot Kazuda Xiono (Christopher Sean). Recruited by Commander Poe Dameron, Kazuda will embark on a secret, dangerous mission aboard a Resistance refueling vessel named The Colossus, where random aliens get tossed overboard into the waters below while BB-8 beeps and boops in the background.

Developed by Dave Filoni, who previously directed Star Wars: The Clone Wars, this new series not only bridges Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, but also signals strength for the future of the Star Wars legacy. The initial opinion of the series is definitely getting seriously mixed reviews (some even saying a continuous viewing of Jar Jar would be preferable), it’s completely essential for survival. While current movies win throngs of fans at the box office, there is a new generation of fans that need to be hooked in order for the franchise to continue. Create young fans of the series, Star Wars Resistance will.
