25. Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader

Released on Nov. 18th, 2001, Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader and still a superb game. This is the best opportunity anyone will ever get to fly the various ships of Star Wars. As Luke Skywalker – additional control of Wedge Antilles – you fight the Galactic Empire with the Rebels. Pick one of ten missions and then your ship, then get ready to enjoy the ride. The vehicle variety is all a player could wish for, with four different kinds of starfighters (A, B, X, Y), a Snowspeeder, and even the Millennium Falcon. Each vehicle, of course, has different advantages and disadvantages.

Gameplay and plot

There are power-ups, benchmark goals, and unlockable content. One such unlockable aspect is the ability to flip the script and play as none of other than Darth Vader. Spanned over all three original movies (A New Hope to Return of the Jedi), the plot of the game is complex enough to entice non-gamer Star Wars fans. The plot involves everything from Death Star I to Death Star II. There is even the opening, narrative scrawl we’ve all grown to love!

Give this Star Wars game a try. You will not be disappointed!
