35. Kylo Ren killing Supreme Leader Snoke (Star Wars: The Last Jedi)

Kylo Ren is a someone who doesn’t seem to do well with authority figures. He clearly won’t listen to either of his parents or his uncle. It’s hard to blame him for not listening to Luke after he tried to kill him, though. However, his parents only wanted the best for him even though they might not have been perfect parents.

Within the First Order, Kylo Ren is no Darth Vader. At least he hasn’t risen to that level yet. Yes, he’s powerful, but he’s not nearly as powerful as Vader once was. Kylo has a temper and we see that in The Force Awakens. He’s dangerous, there’s no doubt about that, but he’s still impulsive.

Not only does Kylo go after both of his parents (he only successfully kills one of them), but he turns on Supreme Leader Snoke. Whatever his connection is with Rey, it’s one that he’s willing to kill a higher authority over. He won’t let Snoke kill Rey and we don’t know if it’s because she’s managed to appeal to the good in him or if it’s just part of a bigger plan that he has. Maybe we’ll get more answers in Episode IX.
