19. Ahsoka lives (Star Wars Rebels)

I previously discussed the battle that went down between Ahsoka and Darth Vader in the Rebels season 2 finale. And we do learn that Ahsoka made it through when she reappears later in Star Wars Rebels in the show’s fourth and final season. However, Dave Filoni played around with the fans prior to the season airing as he wore two different Ahsoka Lives shirts at a panel. One had a question mark and he later changed into one with an exclamation point. This wasn’t complete confirmation of Ahsoka’s fate, though.

Ezra Bridger was able to find a portal to al of time and space behind the Mortis painting on Lothal. Here, he finds Ahsoka back in her fight with Darth Vader and he’s able to pull her out to save her. She gives Ezra some crucial information and keeps him from going back to save Kanan. Once she does that, she returns back to Malachor so that she doesn’t mess up the timeline.

It was a bummer to see Ahsoka go back to that uncertainty, but we did get a good moment between her and Ezra in exchange. It was a long wait between the season 2 finale and this episode, but it was a worthwhile one in my opinion. I liked seeing Ahsoka give Ezra some guidance shortly after Kanan was gone. She’s been through a lot and would certainly make a great teacher if she ever chose to do that.
