17. Anakin loses the rest of his limbs (Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith)

As promised in the previous selection, we have Anakin losing even more limbs. To lose one is shocking, but to lose the rest? I don’t think anyone can compete with him in that respect. This is where the suit comes into play, too. Anakin needs something to keep him moving and clearly, with all of his limbs needing to be replaced, that’s a big medical procedure. After the procedure, he’s given the classic Darth Vader suit to strut around in.

Before we get to that, though, it’s important to discuss how he lost the other three limbs in one go. This comes courtesy of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The two engage in a battle on Mustafar and Anakin is fueled by rage. He hates Obi-Wan Kenobi and it leads to an intense and brutal battle between them.

Anakin either has really bad luck or he just has no clue how detrimental his anger can be to his own well-being. I’m going with it being a combination of the two. He lost a limb once, so you think he’d be a little more careful, but thinking rationally isn’t something he always does when he’s angry. He hasn’t quite learned how to control it as needed and it loses him his remaining three limbs.
