C-3PO needs more screen time in Episode IX
One of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars universe has been mostly absent from the sequel trilogy. That needs to come to an end with next year Star Wars Episode IX.
Director J.J. Abrams is wanting to bridge the prequel, original and sequel trilogies together. It is rumored he wants to incorporate more nods to the prequel trilogy with Star Wars Episode IX.
C-3PO was built by Anakin Skywalker who just so happens to be related to Kylo Ren. So that will hopefully get the wheels spinning. Not only that but 3PO gets the first speaking line in the original Star Wars.
Also, he has the last spoken words in the prequels as well. The Force Awakens saw C-3PO with 1 minute, 45 seconds of screen time and The Last Jedi with 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Plus, we did not get an explanation for his red arm.

He became entrusted by Leia Organa to take Death Star plans to Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was a loyal servant of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and the and the rebellion.
For a rather important droid and a rather important character he has been widely ignored. I really hope fans get to see one more C-3PO scenes that are relative to the film and gives a nod to the first look we had when Star Wars was still only one film.
In my opinion C-3PO deserves a better send off than say 3 or so minutes. I also believe most Star Wars fans feel the exact same way. J,J. Abrams has his work cut out for him to repair the sequel trilogy.
Ignoring a central to the entire Skywalker story may further irritate a fans base that is unsettled.
Star Wars Episode IX is scheduled to come out December 20, 2019.
