Star Wars: Episode IX rumor suggests Kylo Ren will have a Maul type look

Rumors have circulated about Star Wars: Episode IX and the latest suggests that Kylo Ren will have a new look that will make us think of Darth Maul.
As always, with any of our Star Wars: Episode IX rumors, this may turn out to be true, but equally, it may not. So take it with a pinch of salt as we discuss Kylo Ren having a new look that resembles Darth Maul.
Ok, so the rumor comes from StaWarsLeaks, where the original poster described what happened when attending a Star Wars marketing presentation by Disney. Discussing what lay ahead for Star Wars in 2019. The subject of Kylo Ren and his new look came up when discussing Star Wars: Episode IX.

This new look surrounds his helmet. In The Last Jedi, we saw the helmet destroyed after Kylo smashed it against a wall. Turning it into nothing but a pile of fragments after Supreme Leader Snoke belittled him.
The rumor explains that Kylo will get a helmet for Star Wars: Episode IX. But instead of a new helmet, he will repair the one he destroyed with the use of a red like substance. Meaning the helmet will have visible red lines throughout it. Given a look that could resemble Darth Maul.

Considering this is the final installment of the Skywalker legacy. This would be a nice throwback for fans. Ending the Skywalker saga by throwing in a call back to where it all began in the Skywalker story.
Again though. This is all speculation and rumor. It could turn out to be absolutely nothing. Kylo might just a get a plain new helmet. He might not have a helmet at all. The rumor could turn out to be correct but resemble nothing to do with Darth Maul, and just be a bunch of squiggly red lines.
We will just need to wait and see how it all plays out, but this is one rumor that would be good if it tuned out to be true. Mainly because I am a massive Darth Maul fan.
