Snippy Attitude And Nicknames

Ahsoka was more than just Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan. She was known for her snippy attitude and her unhealthy habit of using nicknames. Over time, both these traits weaned, and she became a mature leader that many people admired.

The snarky attitude served as a defense mechanism during Ahsoka’s early days as a Padawan. If someone said something she didn’t like about her, she’d snap back at them with sass. Take Anakin for example. He’d called her a youngling to her face, and she didn’t like it so she snapped back. This also earned her the nickname Snips which became more of an affectionate gesture rather than an insult.

This brings us to mention the nicknames she used for her friends and opponents. Here’s just a few of them:

  • Rotta: Stinky
  • R2-D2: Artooey
  • Anakin: SkyGuy
  • Asajj Ventress: Baldy and Hairless Harpy
  • Rex: Rexster
  • Battle Droids: Stick Tinnies
  • R3-S6: Goldie

Her habit even earned her a few nicknames of her own:

  • Anakin: Snips, Little One and Pookums (used once to annoy her)
  • Asajj Ventress: Skywalker’s filthy, obnoxious, little pet
  • Rex: Commander, little ‘un, Sir
  • Plo Koon: Little Soka

As she matured, she used the nicknames less than she once did. Those who followed her into battle, like Rex, called her Commander.
