While we wait for new Star Wars content, the Cassian Andor series won’t be out for a while as production is slated to begin later this year.

While this year will bring us so many new Star Wars stories from Episode IX to TV series and comics to books, Lucasfilm is planning for further down the road.

The Cassian Andor series is set to bring production in October 2019, according to Production Weekly, giving the pre-Rogue One series a likely 2020 debut. This gives us something to look forward to once the final credits role on the Skywalker Saga.

More from Star Wars News

Not much is known on the Andor series other than Diego Luna will reprise his role on the main character. Andor appeared in Rogue One, helping Jyn Erso get the plans for the Death Star to be delivered to the Rebellion. He and Jyn perished on Scarify, but that’s we really know about Andor.

He had been part of the Rebellion since he was a child, giving everything he had to it.

Most other characters we learned more about such as Jyn, who had a prequel book and a book about her parents released. Saw Gererra appeared in The Clone Wars and Rebels.

Now, we’ll get a chance to learn about Cassian Andor in the “spy thriller” Lucasfilm has planned for Disney+.

If you can’t wait for this show to start, don’t worry. There is plenty of Star Wars content coming your way this year, and we’re excited to write about all of it here at Dork Side of the Force.
