Thanks to The Rumor Queue: Full details on the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride coming to Disney parks, we may have a play-by-play of the entire ride from beginning to end. If this is accurate, this will be one of the rides at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

More from Disney

The ride essentially tells a story of how the guests take off into space from the planet Batuu. They are then captured by the First Order. While the guests, now prisoners, on the Star Destroyer are being transported, in the form of two vehicles, “a rogue droid will drive across the upper bridge. This droid will hack into the First Order mainframe, gaining control of your vehicles”.

The rest of the ride will be trying to escape while running into AT-AT walkers that, “will be massive-nearly the exact same size as they would be in the actual Star Wars universe.” and of course Kylo Ren.

In fact, guests will find themselves running into Kylo Ren several times, before the Resistance arrives. By use of escape pods, guests are sent back into space before crash landing “in an old warehouse” on Batuu. Emerging from the escape pods, guests move to towards the exit of the ride.

Of all the rumors of what the ride will have, by far the most intriguing is the “Tower of Terror-style drop”. “The escape pods are actually elevator shafts that will drop guests from the highest point of the building.”

This sounds to be a promising attraction, that will surely please Star Wars fans as they are thrown into the war between the First Order and the Resistance. Finding a means of escaping the clutches of Kylo Ren and a less than graceful landing will have any fan remembering what a wise Obi-Wan Kenobi once said, “Another happy landing.”
