Star Wars: Samuel L. Jackson reminds us he would play Mace Windu again
Samuel L. Jackson has said again he would reprise his role as Mace Windu in Star Wars. It’s not the first time he’s made that announcement.
Remember Mace Windu? Of course, you do.
He was the badass purple lightsaber-wielding Jedi who able to best anyone in a duel in Star Wars. Mace Windu also went flying out of a window, seemingly falling to his death hundreds of feet below.
Despite all that, Samuel L. Jackson is here to remind LucasFilm, he’s ready to come back to the franchise – again.
In a recent interview while on a media tour for Glass, a reporter insinuated he should get back into Star Wars.
“I’m that guy. All they got to do is call,” Jackson said in the interview. See the full interview here:
This isn’t the first time Jackson has made that proclamation either. In fact, the last time was just a few months ago. We wrote about it then and even looked at the possibilities on how Star Wars would be able to bring him back.
But if Jackson will continue to bang the drum, we’ll continue to write about it.
In reality, he wouldn’t be bad for Star Wars. He really had amazing skills and there are certain bad guys out there who could use a beat down. Yet, in all likelihood, if there would be a return of Mace Windu, it would in movie or series that looked back rather than forward.
So, we say, keep letting the world know Mace Windu should come back – perhaps someone at LucasFilm will get a great idea on how to bring his character back even for a moment.
What do you think? Would you want to see Mace Windu and his purple lightsaber on the screen again?
