Star Wars: Episode IX: Anthony Daniels completes filming
Anthony Daniels shared a bittersweet tweet about his final day of filming on Star Wars: Episode IX.
Even though the excitement of Star Wars: Episode IX grows every day, it does come with a bit of sadness. It’s the end of an important franchise to many fans – and even actors.
Anthony Daniels, the actor who has played C-3P0, since the original trilogy shared a touching tweet about his last day of filming. He’s sad – and so are we.
While we’re close to the end of principle filming for Star Wars: Episode IX, it’s bittersweet. We have journeyed with these characters for 40 years, fighting the dark side right alongside Leia, Luke, Han Solo, learning about Darth Vader’s origins, and now we will know just how the story ends.
Anthony Daniels tweeted:
It’s good to know that C-3P0 will be in Star Wars: Episode IX — we really didn’t have a doubt. He’s been an important part of the Skywalker family, red arm and all.

His character provided levity in tough situations, and translated when we needed help. His friendship with R2-D2 is actually one of the strongest in the Star Wars universe.
Daniels garnered plenty of reaction too. There were more than 700 comments from Star Wars fans from around the world. Many shared those sentiments.
Because while we’re all ready for Star Wars: Episode IX – I’m really not ready. It’s exciting to think this movie will come out at the end of the year; I’m not ready for it to end yet.
But here is one actor saying thank you and good bye.
Nope, we’re definitely not ready.
Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled to come out on December 20.
