Star Wars: Episode IX leak: A snowy planet with a possible battle
While snowy planets are nothing new in the Star Wars movies and universe, there is a leak that suggests a new snow planet may have a large scale battle for Episode IX.
While director J.J. Abrams and company have done a magnificent job of keeping spoilers out of sight for the sequel trilogy grand finale, Star Wars: Episode IX, a potential new leak shows what could a set dressed in snow.
The leak comes from a fan via his Instagram page. You can see all the images here.

While it seems like Disney has switched up how they are marketing the film we will have to wait until there is some footage released to see if there is indeed a snow planet involved, but this still gets our speculation juices flowing.
Snow battles have often been part of the franchise. They look good on screen. So it is not all to surprising that Episode IX would feature snow. In The Force Awakens, Kylo Ren and Rey had a lightsaber battle in the snow — my personal favorite lightsaber duel in all the films.
While it is unknown just what will occur of the snow planet there have been rumors that Abrams wanted to expand the Star Wars universe by bringing in more planets. We could get multiple battles at once cutting from scene-to-scene as the First Order engages the Resistance at the urging of Ren.
With Starkiller Base destroyed it is safe to say this will be a new planet as only Yavin 4 is the only known planet to return in Episode IX. It should be interesting to see what comes about on the snow planet.
Episode IX is scheduled to come out on December 20.
