Star Wars: Episode IX: What do we know about Naomi Ackie’s character?
Much of Star Wars: Episode IX is a mystery, including Naomi Ackie’s role. But in a recent interview she gave a small, but significant detail away.
Naomi Ackie’s character in Star Wars: Episode IX has been shrouded in mystery so far. She was announced in the original release as being part of the cast, but we haven’t learned anything about her character.
It’s not surprising because not much has been leaked from the Episode IX set at all, but in a recent interview, Ackie played it close to the vest explaining that she couldn’t say much. But she did say something that could give us a clue into her role in Episode IX.

In an interview with ODE, Ackie said:
"“I think my absolute faves were the like Star Wars new originals. I loved being with John and Daisy and Oscar and it was brilliant to share the screen with them. Such brilliant energy. It was brilliant.”"
Yes, it was brilliant. But that isn’t the part we are focusing on. Ackie admitted to filming with John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac — all members of the Resistance. So this leads us to believe that Ackie is member of the good side, or at the very least she isn’t part of the First Order.
If she was part of the First Order, she would have mentioned working with Adam Driver.
There has been some small rumors about her part. The part of the Resistance or, at least, helping the Resistance as a freedom fighter has been one of them. Another rumor, which I’m not sold on is that she is the daughter of Lando Calrissian.
Whether that last part is true, we’ll have to wait to find out. However, we do know that she works with Finn, Rey and Poe in some form in Episode IX. We’ll take it.
