Star Wars comes to life in toy photography

Star Wars comes to life thanks to the creativity of toy photography. Jared Middleton’s amazing photos place several characters in the limelight in stunning scenes.

Toy stormtroopers, Jango Fett, R2-D2, C-3PO, and even Darth Maul have had their photos taken in some of the most lifelike scenarios. So lifelike in fact that some of the photos look like they were taken straight from a battle or scene in the Star Wars films.

We’re talking stormtroopers charging into a chaotic battle, recreating the battle on the cold planet Hoth, and R2-D2 and C-3PO joining in on the festivities of Christmas with a tied up stormtrooper in a strand of lights.

Jared’s use of the world around him in creating the photos is clever. What may look like a just a Star Wars action figure to someone will look like a Scout Trooper making his way through a river on the forest moon of Endor. There is no limit to the imagination and story that is being told. Each photo draws you in.

While the photos themselves are truly a work of talent, watching how Jared achieved the perfect shot in his Behind the Scenes and Tutorial videos are fascinating. Jared’s toy photography isn’t reserved to Star Wars alone. He has also taken vivid photographs of characters from Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, and the Power Rangers.
