Part of why fans love Star Wars is the fighting. Be it lightsaber, ships or blasters. Let us take a closer look at my favorite fights in Star Wars to date.

Obi-Wan Kenobi vs General Grievous, Revenge of the Sith

Great fight with lightsabers clashing, a high-speed chase and a good old fashion fist fight. It is a fight I feel gets overlooked but is worth revisiting. Not to mention ROTS is a decent film.

Obi-Wan Kenobi vs Jango Fett, Attack of the Clones

Rolling with Obi-Wan his fight with Jango Fett is pretty fantastic as well. It was one of the highlights of Attack of the Clones. It all kicked off with a rather tense meeting followed by Fett trying to get away. Jango threw it all at the great Jedi: flame thrower, rocket, blasters — and all in the pouring rain. Pretty great stuff!

Yoda vs Count Dooku, Attack of the Clones

It was great to see Yoda wield a lightsaber. Throw in Dooku’s taunts as well as Yoda catching his Force lightning makes this a must-see match up. Fans thought Yoda could hold his own in a fight even though we never got to see him fight in the Original Trilogy. It turns out they were right finally getting to see the great Jedi master in action.

Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader, Return of the Jedi

It all starts because the Emperor eggs Luke on. Vader threw it all at Luke including his lightsaber. Luke went into a full-on rage mode. Remember the “How am I to know the good side from the bad” scene? Somewhere in the middle of the fight it clicks with Luke and he tosses his weapon down. A great way to end the original trilogy.
