With Star Wars Celebration Chicago just around the corner, Lucasfilm has announced three animation panels featuring The Clone Wars, Resistance, and Rebels.

Lucasfilm will host three different animation panels dedicated to The Clone Wars, Star Wars Resistance, and Star Wars Rebels, according to starwars.com.

The news comes almost a year afterThe Clone Wars revival was announced by Dave Filoni and company at the San Diego Comic-Con, news that fans welcomed with open arms. It seems like The Clone Wars will be the focal point of the panels, as Lucasfilm says that “attendees at Star Wars Celebration Chicago will be the first to get a closer look at what’s to come for Anakin, Ahsoka, and the rest of the beloved characters from the original series when new episode premiere exclusively on Disney+.”

According to the schedule provided by Lucasfilm, Filoni and special guests will celebrate the show’s return with fans on April 14 and give them a sneak peek of the looming revival.

While The Clone Wars might be the focus of the animation panels, Rebels fans will have something to look forward to as well. A reunion of sorts is in the works, almost a year after the series ended its run. Taylor Gray, Filoni, Vanessa Marshall, and Tiya Sircar will highlight the panel, although fans shouldn’t get excited about a possible comeback for the Ghost crew.

"“The Ghost crew went from a single scrappy crew of rebels to a vital part of the larger cause over four seasons. Although the series is over (and there won’t be a surprise announcement of a new series during this panel), we’ll never forget the characters who deepened our knowledge of the Force, made us laugh and cry, and gave us hope.”"

Star Wars Resistance will have its panel feature executive producers Justin Ridge, Athena Portillo, and Brandon Auman. Voice actors Christopher Sean, Suzie McGrath, Scott Lawrence, Myrna Velasco, and Donald Faison will appear as well.

To me, the story here is definitely Clone Wars. As far as I know, we’ve only gotten that one trailer so far, so a new look at things to come will surely up those hype levels. I think the Rebels panel will be cool, mostly because a reunion is always something fun to do and it worked for things like Batman: The Animated Series in the past.

dark. Next. George Lucas helping with Episode IX? Probably not.
