9. Qi’Ra

Qi’Ra was a character we were introduced to more recently than most. She was new in Solo: A Star Wars Story portraying Han Solo’s first love.

From the get-go, you could see she was in charge. She was the one who inspired Han to escape Corellia. Everything he did, he did with Qi’Ra in the back of his mind, especially when he had to leave her behind.

But it turns out Qi’Ra was able to fend for herself. She didn’t survive the sewers of Corellia for fun. Without Han, she managed to get off the planet when she was sold by Lady Proxima.

We learned in the Solo novelization that she became a problem for everyone who owned her because she would fight all the guards. It wasn’t until Dryden Vos made her an offer that he would teach her in the ways of the Crimson Dawn because he recognized an energy that made her a survivor.

She took the deal, became one of his top lieutenants and then worked with Solo to get rid of the crime boss. Qi’Ra then managed to rule Dryden Vos’ cartel becoming its leader only second to Maul – at least we think so. We still haven’t gotten the update to that story.

However, Qi’Ra is special, which is why Han fell for her. She looked out for herself to ensure her survival, and while she could be looked at as selfish, she did protect Han’s identity in the end showing she had a soft spot for others.
