24. Arihnda Pryce

Arihnda Pryce had a decent upbringing on Lothal. Her family owned a prosperous mining company that she managed until the underhanded government swiped that away from her family.

Pryce could have let that ruin her and her family. She could have taken the beating and found a semi-peaceful life on Lothal doing something that kept her out of the spotlight.

Pryce had no intention of doing that.

She managed to snag a job on Coruscant and work her way up the chain. While she started out as someone who planned on moving ahead based on merit, it quickly changed when she realized leverage, intimidation and secrets could get the job done much faster.

Pryce is not a good person, but her determination and her perseverance should be commended. She fought to bring herself out of ruin all the way to becoming the governor of her homeworld. Unfortunately, she did allow ego and revenge to get in the way, which became her eventual downfall.

There’s a lesson to be learned there: Don’t mess with Thrawn. Ok, the real lesson is that getting ahead is great, but you need to know your boundaries. Eventually, those gunning for you will catch up if you push them far enough.
