Tips No. 2: What to carry

Star Wars Celebration is a time for companies to release new exclusives from places such as Funko! Pops to new Hasbro toys and one-of-a-kind artwork to special comic covers. You can pretty much find anything Star Wars-related at Celebration.

While it’s great for browsing and checking out all the different booths, it’s really not that great for carrying things. That’s why you need to bring a back up or a large-sized comfortable bag to carry your goodies in.

Consider that you will be wearing this bag for most of the day, so a one-shoulder item might cause some strain on the side you keep it on.

While your backpack – and I’m recommending a backpack – should have a few snacks and some water in it, keep it as empty as possible so that you can carry the things you want back to the hotel afterward.

But keep in mind what you’re picking up first. Start with the lighter items and those that are most durable. IF you’re not worried about items selling out and know they will be there later in the day, pick up the bigger and bulkier items last.

I know this isn’t always an option, but it’s one to consider and why it’s so important to plan ahead when going to Celebration. This way you can map out what you want to pick up, how long you expect to carry it, and where you will be able to keep it until it’s time to head home.

You don’t want to be stuck with a giant bust of Luke Skywalker strapped to your back for eight hours if you can’t help it.
